VELA Airlines has added ten destinations to its network from Zurich. Aberdeen, Clermont-Ferrand, Cologne, Eindhoven, Gibraltar, Lanzarote, La Palma, Menorca, Poznań and Tenerife have joined the timetable, taking the airline to 23 destinations in 13 countries and territories. Across the network, VELA now operates 405 flights a week.
The additions fill in the route map to the north-west with Aberdeen and Eindhoven, to the north-east with Poznań and to the west with Clermont-Ferrand. To the south, Gibraltar, Menorca and three Canary Islands join the timetable; the Canary Islands are now the most southerly and the most westerly points of the network. France, the Netherlands, Poland and Gibraltar appear on the VELA route map for the first time.

The Airbus A319 serves Clermont-Ferrand, Eindhoven and Poznań. The A320 flies to Aberdeen, Cologne and Gibraltar, and the A321, the largest of the three, operates the routes to Menorca and the Canary Islands. La Palma is served three times a week on a triangle routing: the outbound flight calls at Tenerife South, the return to Zurich is nonstop.
“We wanted a network that works for a week in the Canary Islands as well as for a short trip to Cologne or Eindhoven. With 23 destinations, the route map now reaches from Helsinki to the Canary Islands and from Aberdeen to Istanbul.”
The 13 destinations already in the network remain in the timetable: Athens, Bilbao, Bologna, Bristol, Dresden, Florence, Gothenburg, Helsinki, Istanbul, Leipzig, Pamplona, Riga and Turin. All departures, with days of operation and local times, are listed in the timetable and can be selected in the flight search.
