The Airbus A320 is the backbone of our European network and operates most of our flights from Zurich. It seats 168 passengers in Business and Economy.
The A320 is the aircraft you are most likely to board on a VELA flight: it makes up half of our fleet and serves more destinations than any other type. At 37.57 metres it sits between the A319 and the A321 and shares their cabin width and their wingspan. Depending on the individual aircraft, it is powered by two CFM56-5B or two IAE V2500 engines. The cabin is the same either way.
The cabin seats 168 passengers. Business occupies rows 1 to 3, where the middle seat always stays free, so each of its 12 seats is a window or an aisle. Economy follows from row 4 to row 29 with three seats on either side of the aisle. Rows 11 and 12, next to the emergency exits, offer extra legroom.
