Long-haul · the longest aircraft in the fleet
Airbus A340-600
Two Airbus A340-600 are joining the long-haul fleet. The stretched A340 carries 336 passengers in Business, Economy Max and Economy.
At 75.36 metres the A340-600 is almost twelve metres longer than the A340-300, with a larger wing and four Rolls-Royce Trent 500 engines. Its range of up to 14,450 kilometres reaches every destination of the long-haul network non-stop.
The cabin seats 336 passengers in three classes. Business has 48 seats in a 1–2–1 layout: suites at the windows and pairs in the centre, every seat opening directly onto an aisle. Behind it come 32 seats in Economy Max and 256 in Economy, both arranged 2–4–2 across two aisles, so no seat is more than one place away from an aisle.
